Vic and Callie move to Abby Village where tragedy strikes their small family. Meanwhile, Louisa and Philip work in a city close to Abby and a secret upsets their close relationship. An investigation by a third family threatens to reveal the secrets linked to the small community of Abby. Teenagers of Abby have a secret ritual involving a trail behind the house inhabited at different times by the two families with secrets. Mysteries are exposed in this novel about secrets that lovers keep from each other. Near a large Canadian city, Abby grows to become a town, partly due to the patronage of a tech firm that moves there. A tragedy in the village drives two residents to abandon their lives in the Village and search for redemption, but fate later returns them to the now expanded Abbytown. Some mysteries remain in the lives of these entangled families.
About the Author: Jean Griffin née Connell, has been a secretary, a chemist, a mother, girl guide leader, volunteer fire department dispatcher, writer and traveller. She is from New Brunswick, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree Cum Laude from Mount Allison University. She worked as a chemist for the Government of Canada, testing drugs. Now retired, she lives in Russell Meadows, Russell, Ontario. Her love of birds and nature led her to write a column in the Frontenac News and she has travelled to throughout North and South America, to Canada’s arctic and to the Antarctic. This is her first novel.
