Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Brian A. Reid CD is a former Canadian Artillery officer and is a military historian. He enrolled in the Canadian Army in 1957 as a Gunner and was commissioned in 1961. He served in various regimental, instructional and staff appointments in Canada, the USA and overseas until his retirement in 1994.
