Richard Clément (right) is presently Director of the Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute and Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Ottawa. He is also professor of psychology and incumbent of the Chair on Bilingualism and Society. His field of specialization is related to issues of language learning motivation, intergroup relations and communication, identity change, social adjustment and linguistic planning. His research has been published in America and Europe in both French and English. He was elected Fellow of both the Canadian and American Psychological associations. In 2008, he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada.
